Basketball Game Preview: Edon Bombers vs. Edgerton Bulldogs

The Edon Bombers and the Edgerton Bulldogs will face off at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest having both just played. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Edon will bounce into Saturday's contest after beating Hicksville, who they had gone 0-7 against in their seven prior meetings. Edon came out on top against Hicksville by a score of 60-50 on Friday. While the Bombers didn't have the best season last year (they finished 5-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Meanwhile, Edgerton had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They walked away with a 51-38 win over the Archers. While the Bulldogs didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Edon is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Edgerton, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.

Edon came up short against Edgerton in their previous meeting back in January, falling 46-42. Can Edon avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
