Basketball Recap: Eminence Comes Up Short

If Eminence was riding high fresh off their 70-25 takedown of Indiana School for the Deaf last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eminence Eels fell 47-38 to the Attica Red Ramblers on Friday.

Attica's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Greyson Skeels, who posted 13 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Ronnie Matthews, who put up nine points and six rebounds.

Eminence has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Attica, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-10.

Eminence and Attica could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings. Eminence (ranked 434th) will meet Indianapolis Metropolitan (ranked 115th) at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Attica will challenge Parke Heritage at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday down 387 places (445 vs. 58).
