Basketball Recap: Arickaree's Loss Ends Six-Game Winning Streak at Home

It was a good run, but Arickaree unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of the Prairie Mustangs by a score of 37-35. The game marked the Bison's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Several Bison players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Austin Wright, who posted seven points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Dillon Noletubby, who earned four points and three steals.

Leading Prairie to victory were Lane Schock and Derek Dollerschell. Schock almost dropped a double-double on ten points and nine rebounds, while Dollerschell put up nine points. That's the most boards Schock has posted since back in December of 2023.

Arickaree's loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-2. As for Prairie, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Arickaree has already played their next match, a 59-30 win against Flagler on the 11th. As for Prairie, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 50-30 defeat against Haxtun on the 11th.
