Football Recap: Celina Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Celina was the 23-3 winner over Shawnee when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The match between the Bulldogs and the Indians didn't end well, with the Bulldogs falling 35-21.

Jj Spyker was nothing short of spectacular for Shawnee: he threw for 280 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, and also rushed for 65 yards. Matthew Desenberg was another key player, rushing for 47 yards and a pair of TDs.

Celina's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Shawnee, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1.

Coming up, Celina will be playing in front of their home fans against Kenton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will be up against the Wildcats' rather soft defense (which has allowed 37.6 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Shawnee, they will venture away from home to square off against Defiance at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Indians are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
