            Softball Recap: Algonac Muskrats vs. Franklin Patriots        
        
		
        
        
            After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Lake Orion, Algonac was happy to have turned things around  on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Franklin Patriots  11-10.
The team  relied heavily on  Michael Kenel, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  four  RBI gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Lainie Meleski, who  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  double.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Algonac  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 13  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Franklin only managed seven  hits.
Algonac's victory bumped their record up to 4-7-1. As for Franklin, they dropped their record down to 3-7 with the  defeat, which was their fourth straight  at home.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Algonac will face off against Grosse Pointe North at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for Franklin, they will venture away from home to  square off against Salem  at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday.
