Basketball Game Preview: Cypress Ridge Rams vs. Cypress Falls Eagles

The Cypress Ridge Rams are taking a road trip to square off against the Cypress Falls Eagles at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cypress Ridge has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the match with 13 straight losses, while Cypress Falls will come in with five straight wins.

Cypress Ridge lost 58-36 to Stratford on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Rams can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1083rd, while the Spartans are ranked 496th).

Meanwhile, Cypress Falls hadn't done well against Cy-Fair recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Cypress Falls was the clear victor by a 58-38 margin over Cy-Fair. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 20 points or more this season.

Cypress Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for Cypress Falls, their victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-4.

Cypress Ridge might still be hurting after the 54-34 loss they got from Cypress Falls in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Can Cypress Ridge avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
