Basketball Game Preview: Twinsburg Tigers vs. Brecksville-Broadview Heights Bees

Twinsburg and Brecksville-Broadview Heights are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2019, but not for long. The Twinsburg Tigers will welcome the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Bees at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Twinsburg is headed into Saturday's game hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 50-46 heartbreaker at the hands of Mentor.

Meanwhile, Brecksville-Broadview Heights didn't have too much trouble with Nordonia on Wednesday as they won 59-43. Given the Bees' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 36th, while the Knights are ranked 367th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Brecksville-Broadview Heights' win came from a few key players Twinsburg will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ashley Perdion, who went 5 of 7 en route to 12 points along with six boards and three blocks. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last four times she's played. Jessie Zenir was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds.

Brecksville-Broadview Heights smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 19 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 12 offensive boards in three consecutive matches.

Brecksville-Broadview Heights has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Twinsburg, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.
