Softball Recap: Ketcham Drops Season-High Score on Clarkstown North

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Ketcham). Everything went their way against the Clarkstown North Rams on Saturday as they made off with a 19-2 win. Considering the Storm have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Maddie Perez spent all five innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on six hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Caylee Overton, who got a hit. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Thyrre, who got a hit.

Ketcham always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of 2.250. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Ketcham pushed their record up to 12-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Clarkstown North, their loss dropped their record down to 10-6.

Coming up, Ketcham will head out on the road to take on Arlington at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Admirals will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Storm surely won't give up without a fight. As for Clarkstown North, they will host Nanuet at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
