Volleyball Game Preview: Northwest Indians vs. Norton Panthers

The Northwest Indians will venture away from home to take on the Norton Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Northwest saw some tournament action on Thursday. Everything went their way against Brookside as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Indians.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Norton, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Conneaut on Thursday.

Norton's got stronger as the match went on, holding Conneaut to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-11, 25-10.

Northwest better keep an eye on Haley Sanderson. She was instrumental in Norton's win, getting 11 digs and one assist. Sanderson is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last five games she's played.

Norton's victory bumped their record up to 21-3. As for Northwest, their win bumped their record up to 9-13.

Northwest suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Norton in their previous matchup back in September of 2024. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
