Baseball Recap: Pauls Valley Comes Up Short

Wynnewood hit Pauls Valley with a four-run third inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Panthers fell 8-3 to the Savages. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Savages apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2022.

Pauls Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zac Hayes, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Pauls Valley's loss dropped their record down to 5-18. As for Wynnewood, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 21-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pauls Valley will host Marshall at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Wynnewood, they will take on Dickson at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Comets have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.29 runs per game on average), something the Savages will no doubt try to take advantage of.
