Haedan Morton and Landon Deza did most of the damage at the plate: Morton went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Deza went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Front Range Christian is undefeated when Deza posts two or more runs, but 3-5 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Jake Dreiling, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Front Range Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. The last time their batting average was this high was back in May of 2024.
Dayspring Christian Academy pushed their record up to 10-2 with the win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average this season. As for Front Range Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-5 record this season.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Dayspring Christian Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Front Range Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 10.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
