With a playoff win on the line, Tampa Prep rose to the challenge on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Northside Christian Mustangs as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The Terrapins were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Mustangs, so the Terrapins were just returning the favor.

Tampa Prep was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-19, 25-17.

Tampa Prep found their leader in sophomore Sophia Merenda, who had nine digs and two aces.

Tampa Prep was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 14 consecutive matches.

Tampa Prep has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7 record this season. As for Northside Christian, with the loss, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 18-11.
