Basketball Recap: Woodward Takes a Loss

Woodward was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 72-29 defeat at the hands of the Ross Little Giants. Having soared to a lofty 56 points in the game before, the Polar Bears couldn't push the score so high this time.

Woodward's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Ross, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Woodward will head out on the road to face off against Africentric Early College at 5:30 p.m. on January 4, 2025. Africentric Early College knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven matchups -- so hopefully Woodward likes a good challenge. As for Ross, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Columbian at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
