We've got a battle between Panthers coming up. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Peoria headed into their last match having not scored more than two runs for three straight, but Cactus let them put that streak behind them. The Panthers came out on top against the Cobras by a score of 10-6 on Monday. The Panthers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Diego Zamora was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Those ten strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Skyler Welch was a standout: he scored a run and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Brady Leiby was another key player, scoring two runs while going 3-for-5.
Peoria always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .579. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Paradise Honors had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They walked away with a 4-1 win over the Rockets.
Kade Ashton spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jack Moore, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three doubles, one stolen base, and one run.
Paradise Honors' victory bumped their record up to 15-2. As for Peoria, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.
Peoria might still be hurting after the 11-0 defeat they got from Paradise Honors in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Peoria avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
