Softball Recap: Ripley Takes a Loss

Ripley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 12-1 to the Tupelo Golden Wave, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 9-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2021.

Ripley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Tupelo, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 2-6 record.

Ripley has already played their next game, a 3-1 loss against Mooreville on the 14th. As for Tupelo, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 6-5 defeat against Nettleton on the 14th.
