Baseball Recap: Manchester Essex Comes Up Short

After flying high against Rockport on Monday, Manchester Essex came back down to earth. The Hornets fell 6-1 to the Essex North Shore Agric & Tech School Hawks on Tuesday. If the Hornets were looking for revenge after losing 7-0 to the Hawks when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Manchester Essex's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Essex North Shore Agric & Tech School, the victory snapped their losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 7-9 record.

The future could be bright for both Manchester Essex and Essex North Shore Agric & Tech School: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Hornets will look to extend Triton Regional's five-game losing streak when they meet at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Essex North Shore Agric & Tech School will try to hand Rockport their sixth-straight defeat when the two meet at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
