Preview: Grace Christian Academy Lions vs. Calistoga Wildcats
The Grace Christian Academy Lions on the road again on Tuesday and play against the Calistoga Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Grace Christian Academy was able to grind out a solid victory over Victory Christian Academy, taking the game 61-50.
Meanwhile, Calistoga can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They claimed a resounding 57-23 win over Tomales at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Calistoga has posted since December 18, 2023.
Calistoga's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Oreo Infante, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Diego Perez, who scored 17 points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Grace Christian Academy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Calistoga, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.
