After a string of five wins, ALA - West Foothills's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of the Williams Field Black Hawks by a score of 2-1. If the Guardians were looking for revenge after losing 2-0 to the Black Hawks when the teams met back in March of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, ALA - West Foothills still got an impressive performance from Ethan Smead, who had 15 assists and seven digs. Smead has been hot, having posted 14 or more assists the last five times he's played.

ALA - West Foothills' loss dropped their record down to 16-2. As for Williams Field, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-1.

ALA - West Foothills wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Catalina Foothills on the 28th. As for Williams Field, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Shadow Ridge on the 28th.
