Volleyball Recap: Beloit Trojans vs. Halstead Dragons

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Beloit can now relate to. They fell just short of the Halstead Dragons by a score of 2-1 on Friday. While the Trojans didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Dragons 25-20 in the first set.

Beloit started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The match finished with set scores of 20-25, 25-19, 25-21.

Addison Budke paced Beloit's offense, picking up 13 kills. Budke got some help from Jaidyn Follis and her 27 assists. Kailyn Follis controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Beloit's defeat dropped their record down to 38-6. As for Halstead, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 41-2.

Beloit does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Halstead has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Neodesha on the 2nd.
