The Kentridge Chargers will take on the Auburn Trojans at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Kentridge has five straight wins, Auburn has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Wednesday, it was close, but Kentridge sidestepped Tahoma for a 3-1 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Chargers have posted against the Bears since April 14, 2022.

Riley Lambarena spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits. Kentridge is undefeated when Lambarena allows two or fewer earned runs, but 2-3-1 otherwise.
At the plate, Kentridge saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Teegan O'Brien, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI. Ricardo Del Fierro also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Meanwhile, Auburn lost 13-3 to Stadium on Wednesday.
Johnathan Schumaier made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. Tyler Cornwall was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double.
Kentridge pushed their record up to 10-3-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Auburn, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-13.
Everything went Kentridge's way against Auburn in their previous matchup on April 1st, as Kentridge made off with a 10-0 victory. Do the Chargers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
