Basketball Game Preview: North Rangers vs. West Geauga Wolverines

The North Rangers will venture away from home to challenge the West Geauga Wolverines at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. North has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-1 during that stretch of close contests.

Last Saturday, North sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 59-56 victory over Kirtland.

It was another big night for Nate Tadiello, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 14 rebounds. What's more, he also racked up six assists, the most he's had since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Brady Trem, who went 6 of 8 en route to 13 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, West Geauga was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Monday as they fell 53-48 to Chardon.

North is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for West Geauga, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.

North took their win against West Geauga when the teams last played back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 85-60. The rematch might be a little tougher for North since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
