Basketball Recap: Carver Piles Up the Points Against Columbus

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carver). They claimed a resounding 75-45 victory over the Columbus Blue Devils. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Blue Devils, too.

Columbus lost on Saturday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Harmony Franklin, who posted seven points along with nine rebounds and seven steals. Franklin is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last eight games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Cristina Christophe, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards.

With the win, Carver broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-4. As for Columbus, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

Carver will look to defend their home court on Friday against Shaw at 6:00 p.m. Carver has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Columbus, they will head out to take on Hardaway at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
