Basketball Game Preview: Incline Highlanders vs. Lincoln County Lynx

The Incline Highlanders will challenge the Lincoln County Lynx at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Incline is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.8 points per game this season.

Incline is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They came out on top against West Wendover by a score of 48-35. The victory was familiar territory for the Highlanders, who have now won three contests in a row.

Tommy Williams continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 31 points and 12 rebounds. The game was his 30th in a row with at least 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas MacDonald, who posted six points.

Meanwhile, Lincoln County had to suffer through an 88-41 loss at the hands of Needles. The Lynx haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Incline will have to contain Curtis Rippetoe as he made an impact in Lincoln County's last game. He went 5-for-10 on his way to 10 points and six boards. Kalen Bart was another key player, putting up five points and 11 rebounds.

Incline's win bumped their record up to 21-6. As for Lincoln County, their loss dropped their record down to 20-10.

Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Incline has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 34.8 boards per game. However, it's not like Lincoln County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 35.9 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.

Incline came out on top in a nail-biter against Lincoln County when the teams last played back in March of 2019, sneaking past 67-65. Will Incline repeat their success, or does Lincoln County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
