Recap: Bethany Christian Bruins vs. Bremen Lions        
        
		
            
 Even though the Bethany Christian Bruins have not done well against the Bremen Lions recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way  on Saturday. Bethany Christian rang in the new year with a  57-47 victory over Bremen. The  victory made it back-to-back wins for Bethany Christian.
  Tyson Chupp was  his usual excellent self,  scoring 19 points along with eight  assists and six  rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Jacoby Reinhardt, who  scored ten points along with five  rebounds.
 Despite the  loss, Bremen saw an underclassman step up:  Chase Devine  scored 23 points. The  contest was  Devine's sixth in a row with at least ten points.  Camden Hickman was another key contributor,  scoring seven points.
 Bethany Christian is  on a roll lately: they've  won five of their last six matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 5-7 record this season. As for Bremen,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 5-4.
 Bethany Christian will head out on the road to face off against South Bend Career Academy at 7:30  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Bremen, they will look to defend their home court  on Friday against Elkhart at 7:30  p.m. Elkhart comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
