Basketball Recap: Prairie du Chien Comes Up Short

Prairie du Chien was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Waverly-Shell Rock Go-Hawks, falling 79-33. While losing is never fun, the Blackhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 456th in Wisconsin, while the Go-Hawks are ranked 49th in Iowa).

Prairie du Chien's defeat dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Waverly-Shell Rock, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-5.

Prairie du Chien will head out on the road to challenge Westby at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Waverly-Shell Rock, they will take on Forest City at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Waverly-Shell Rock's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
