After a string of five wins dating back to last season, Warrenton's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They came up short against the Kearney Bulldogs, falling 62-40. The loss was the Warriors' first of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Warrenton fell to 3-1. As for Kearney, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-3.

Warrenton has already played their next contest, a 48-43 defeat against Lee's Summit West on the 28th. As for Kearney, they will face off against Park Hill South at 7:00 p.m. on January 3rd. Kearney has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
