Indianapolis Northwest W is headed into Saturday's matchup hungry for a win as their strong season has now been derailed by two straight defeats. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 50-45 heartbreaker at the hands of Purdue Polytechnic.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Esther Moore, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and nine assists. Moore is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Maiella Kaufman was another key player, shooting 55% from the field on her way to 13 points and six rebounds.

Meanwhile, Fort Wayne GUARD HomeSchool had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Columbus HomeSchool, sneaking past 43-40.

Indianapolis Northwest W's loss dropped their record down to 10-3. As for Fort Wayne GUARD HomeSchool, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
