Centennial came tearing into Friday's game with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Village Christian Crusaders. While the Huskies didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-16-3), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Centennial got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 26-24, 15-25, 15-5.

Centennial's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Village Christian, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-4.

Centennial didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Foothill Tech on the 1st. As for Village Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 1-0 loss against Centennial on the 1st.
