Football Recap: Dadeville Takes a Loss

Fans were treated to a battle of the Tigers on Friday. Dadeville took a blow against Handley, falling 49-20. The loss continues a trend for Dadeville in their meetings with Handley: they've now lost four in a row.

Dadeville's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Davis McKelvey, who threw for 150 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 36 yards. Dadeville's leading receiver Justice Young was McKelvey's top target yet again, picking up 105 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Dadeville's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Handley, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Dadeville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 28-12 victory against Beulah on the 5th. As for Handley, they have also already played their next contest, a 35-10 win against Cleburne County on the 5th.
