Baseball Recap: Bishop Hendricken Takes Down Ranked Pilgrim

Bishop Hendricken faced Pilgrim in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Hawks put the hurt on the Patriots with a sharp 8-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Hawks in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won six in a row.

Bishop Hendricken gave Gregory Fleury the start and clearly made the right call: he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits.

On the hitting side, Parker Boyd was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ryan Santo, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs.

Bishop Hendricken's victory bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Pilgrim, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-10 record.
