Softball Recap: Greenwood Takes a Loss

Greenwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 21-6 to Halifax. Greenwood was not able to make up for their defeat to Halifax from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Lilly Kessler was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Kamryn Walton, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Greenwood's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Halifax, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Greenwood is set to square off against their familiar foe Upper Dauphin Area at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Halifax will take on rival East Juniata at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
