Soccer Game Preview: Liberty vs. Frontier

The Liberty Patriots will challenge the Frontier Titans at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Liberty is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.4 goals per game this season.

Liberty is headed into the matchup having not lost since the seventh and will look to keep things rolling. They skirted past Independence 2-1. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Falcons are ranked 725th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Mekai Dallas was the driving force of Liberty's attack as he scored both of Liberty's goals, bringing his season total up to 11 goals.

Meanwhile, Tuesday just wasn't the day for Frontier's offense. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Stockdale on Tuesday.

Liberty is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-2-5 record this season. As for Frontier, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9-5.

Everything went Liberty's way against Frontier in their previous matchup two weeks ago, as Liberty made off with a 4-0 victory. Will Liberty repeat their success, or does Frontier have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
