Basketball Recap: DeWitt Takes a Loss

DeWitt lost against Okemos back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The DeWitt Panthers lost to the Okemos Wolves at home by a 51-33 margin. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 218th, while the Wolves are ranked 21st).

DeWitt has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-10 record this season. As for Okemos, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-2.

When DeWitt and Okemos next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. DeWitt will take on Cadillac and their five-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Okemos will try to stop Haslett's eight-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
