After a string of nine wins, Zachary's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Central Wildcats by a score of 2-1. The Broncos were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 2-0.

Zachary's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 20-13-1. As for Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Zachary will host Catholic at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Bears will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something the Broncos surely won't give up without a fight. As for Central, they will square off against Scotlandville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
