Football Recap: Mineola Takes a Loss

After soaring to 35 points the game before, Mineola was a bit more limited in their matchup on Friday. They were outmatched by the Arp Tigers and fell 35-8. If the Yellowjackets were looking for revenge after losing 49-35 to the Tigers when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kipton Neighbors threw for 50 yards on six of 12 attempts.

Casen Burgins had a dynamite game For Arp., rushing for 72 yards and three scores on only seven carries. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Burgins a new career-high. Zane Bourque did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 84 receiving yards.

Mineola now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Arp, their victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.

Mineola has already played their next contest (against North Lamar), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Arp also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Sabine.
