Classical Academy came tearing into Thursday's contest with seven straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Foothills Christian Knights. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Classical Academy was led to victory by Hannah Johnson and Haley Thatcher. Johnson had 15 digs and one assist, while Thatcher hit 66.7% for nine kills and 11 digs and five aces. Those nine kills gave Thatcher a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Serenity Munster, who had nine digs and one assist.

They weren't the only good servers: Classical Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 16 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Foothills Christian only served nine.

Despite the defeat, Foothills Christian saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Olivia Morr had seven digs and two aces. Morr has been hot, having also posted 13 or more assists the last five times she's played.

Classical Academy's win bumped their record up to 26-7. As for Foothills Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 20-12.

Classical Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Escondido Charter on the 21st. As for Foothills Christian, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against Rock Academy on the 21st.
