Everything went their way against the Catholic Central Cougars on Wednesday as the Ottawa Hills Bengals made off with a 79-55 victory. The win was all the more spectacular given the Bengals' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 487th, while the Cougars are ranked 47th).

Ottawa Hills' victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 4-15. As for Catholic Central, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 11-6.

Ottawa Hills wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 54-50 win against Forest Hills Eastern on the 7th. As for Catholic Central, they will square off against Paw Paw at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday.
