Basketball Recap: Alex Helton Key Part of Team Effort in Jaguars Win

Forestview won the last time they faced Stuart W. Cramer and things went their way on Friday too. The Forestview Jaguars came out on top against the Stuart W. Cramer Storm by a score of 79-70. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Jaguars.

Forestview's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alex Helton, who went 7-for-14 on his way to 25 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Helton has become a key player for Forestview: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least three steals, but 9-12 otherwise. Daijhon Young was another key player, going 8-for-9 to rack up 18 points and seven rebounds.

Despite the loss, Stuart W. Cramer still got an impressive performance from Makhi Brown, who went 6-for-10 en route to 15 points and five boards. Brown is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 55% in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Gavin Jordan, who posted eight points along with six assists and three steals.

Forestview's victory bumped their record up to 11-13. As for Stuart W. Cramer, they dropped their record down to 7-17 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
