Basketball Recap: Brazosport Christian Takes a Loss

Brazosport Christian and Valor Preparatory Academy squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Brazosport Christian had to settle for second. They took a 66-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Valor Preparatory Academy Knights.

Valor Preparatory Academy was led to victory by Connor McFarling and Caedmon Thompson. McFarling dropped a double-double with 21 points and ten boards, while Thompson went 5-for-11 to rack up 15 points and four steals. That's the most points Thompson has posted since back in February of 2024. Another player making a difference was Bear Griesemer, who earned 11 points.

Brazosport Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Valor Preparatory Academy, their win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 22-3.

Brazosport Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Valor Preparatory Academy, they will face off against Legacy Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
