Preview: Effingham County Rebels vs. Lovejoy Wildcats
The Effingham County Rebels will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lovejoy Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Effingham County's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last six matches.
Last Friday, Effingham County had just enough and edged Brunswick out 31-28.
Effingham County can attribute much of their success to Nate Hayes, who threw for 200 yards and two touchdowns on only 18 passes.
Meanwhile, Lovejoy unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell to Jonesboro 36-30.
Effingham County's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.0 points per game. As for Lovejoy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
