Recap: Cheylin Cougars vs. Wheatland-Grinnell Thunderhawks
In what's become a running theme this season, the Cheylin Cougars gave their fans yet another huge win on Thursday. They blew past Wheatland-Grinnell 63-32 at home. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Cheylin also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Pablo Bermudez continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. That makes it six consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Cheylin's points. Andrew Wright was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six steals.
Junior Gorczyca and Daniel Mason certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Gorczyca scored 19 points along with three steals, while Mason scored six points along with 11 rebounds and two blocks.
Cheylin's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-6. As for Wheatland-Grinnell, their loss dropped their record down to 3-18.
