Recap: Bluejacket Chieftains vs. Cedar Vale/Dexter Spartans
On Saturday, Bluejacket came up short against Cedar Vale/Dexter and fell 44-32. While losing is never fun, Bluejacket can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 306th in Oklahoma, while Cedar Vale/Dexter is ranked 100th in Kansas).
Cedar Vale/Dexter was led to victory by Riley Schalk and Zoe Davidson. Schalk dropped a double-double on ten points and 11 rebounds, while Davidson scored 26 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. The matchup was Davidson's third in a row with at least ten points.
Bluejacket's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Cedar Vale/Dexter, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Bluejacket and Wyandotte will face off without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Wyandotte is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Cedar Vale/Dexter, they will take on Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
