Basketball Recap: Brooks Gets the Win

Brooks proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 39) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Corliss Trojans 49-47. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Eagles also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2022.

Isaiah Hall had a dynamite game, going 6-for-11 from beyond the arc en route to 20 points and four steals. Malik Arogundade was another key player, putting up nine points and eight rebounds.

Brooks was working as a unit and finished the game with ten assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January.

Corliss lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Joshua Pegues, who posted 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carl Parrish, who shot 60% from the field to rack up 13 points and three steals.

Brooks' record is now 2-0. As for Corliss, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Brooks wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 79-14 victory against Chicago Vocational on the 26th. As for Corliss, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 57-43 loss against Simeon on the 26th.
