It's playoff time, and Willow Glen had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 7-2 victory over the King's Academy Knights on Saturday. The Rams are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 12 straight.

Dante Pini looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Tommy Moran was excellent, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Ben Mudgett, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one triple.

Willow Glen was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as King's Academy only posted a batting average of .160.

Willow Glen pushed their record up to 22-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for King's Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 13-12.

As of now, neither Willow Glen nor the Knights have any future games scheduled.
