Basketball Recap: Glenbrook Skates Past Plain Dealing with Ease

After losing to Plain Dealing the last time they met, Glenbrook decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Glenbrook Apaches blew past the Plain Dealing Lions, posting a 55-27 win. The matchup marked the Apaches' most dominant victory of the season.

Glenbrook was led to victory by Carson Powell and Luke Stanford. Powell went 12 for 24 on his way to 31 points and six boards, while Stanford went 8 of 12 en route to 16 points. The contest was Powell's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Cade Vining was another key player, putting up two points and 13 rebounds.

Glenbrook was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Glenbrook's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-11. As for Plain Dealing, they are on a 17-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.

Glenbrook and Plain Dealing could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings. Glenbrook will face off against Arcadia at 7:30 p.m. on Friday down 311 places (381 vs. 70). Glenbrook is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Similarly, Plain Dealing (ranked 378th) will meet Cedar Creek (ranked 140th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
