Softball Game Preview: Fivay Falcons vs. Central Bears

The Fivay Falcons will face off against the Central Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fivay has given up an average of 9.4 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Fivay is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 19 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against Hudson on Thursday. They came up short against the Cobras, falling 13-2. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Cobras recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Fivay saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Morgan Bozarth, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. Bozarth also put up an RBI, which was her first of the season. Abby Wojcik was another, going 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Central didn't have quite enough to beat Gulf on Wednesday and fell 7-6. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Fivay's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
