Baseball Recap: Parowan Comes Up Short

Parowan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 10-3 to the Kanab Cowboys. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cowboys this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 7-1 last Tuesday.

Parowan saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josh Waller, who scored a run while going 1-for-4. Waller also put up a double, which was his first of the season.

Parowan's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Kanab, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Parowan is set to challenge their familiar foe Milford at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Kanab will face off against rival South Sevier at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Cowboys 3.9, the Rams 2.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
