Groton-Dunstable took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Oakmont Regional a 2-0 shutout.

Meanwhile, Nashoba Regional entered their match against North Middlesex Regional on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Wolves fell just short of the Patriots by a score of 1-0.

Nashoba Regional's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 5-2-4. As for Groton-Dunstable, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.
