Baseball Recap: Central Heights' Loss Ends Eight-Game Winning Streak at Home

Central Heights lost against Diboll back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Central Heights Blue Devils fell just short of the Diboll Lumberjacks by a score of 9-7.

Central Heights' loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Diboll, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3-1 record this season.

Central Heights will challenge Huntington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Huntington will roll in looking for their 14th straight victory, something Central Heights surely won't give up without a fight. As for Diboll, they will take on Newton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Diboll is facing Newton at the right time seeing as Newton is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
