Volleyball Recap: Oconee County Comes Up Short

Oconee County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Brookwood Broncos. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Broncos when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Oconee County's offense was headlined by Jillian (Jill) Benning and Petra Mooney, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Fendley Kimbro and her 15 assists. She was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Oconee County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Brookwood, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Coincidentally, Oconee County and Brookwood will both be playing Loganville the next time they take the court. The Warriors will head out to face the Red Devils at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Broncos will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
